Guitar stands

Convenience is important when you are playing an instrument as large and cumbersome as the guitar.  You have to have a safe place to store it, but you don’t always want to have to keep in its case, hidden from the world.  It can be a great piece of art!  And what about when you are on stage, switching between two or three guitars in order to put on the perfect show?  You need guitar stands.  These handy tools are safe places for your guitar, yet give you easy access to them whenever you are ready to play.

The first type of guitar stand is the wall mount stand.  These stands attach to your wall with a hook or special kind of hanger and easily lift down when you are ready to play.  These are great because they let you show your guitar off, just like art.  Plus, they save space, so they are good for musicians who live in small spaces such as basements and apartments.  They are also the best option for guitar owners who have meddlesome pets or children.  Keep your guitar away from sticky fingers and paws, or put a few wall stands in your garage where your band plays and make sure everyone’s guitars are always in a safe spot when you are writing music or grabbing a drink.

The second type of guitar stand is the floor stand.  These are available in simple single-guitar models, and more advanced multiple-guitar styles.  The single-guitar floor stands are great for use in the home or in a school or small stage setting.  Set your guitar up in your library where you love to play without having to worry about it slipping and falling to the floor.  Or use these stands to display several guitars that you have collected, one in each room of your home.

Guitar stands that sit on the floor are also available in multiple-guitar varieties.  These are perfect for the stage, where you and your band have many guitars and frequently switch between using acoustic and electric, or 6-string and 12-string.  They are available in many sizes, from the double guitar stand, to ones that hold five or seven guitars at a time.  These stands are available with wheels, in a compact, foldable style, or in an ergonomically-sound corner variety to save space.

Guitar stands are not only useful for guitar owners, they are also great for other types of musicians.  Horn players and string-instrument owners also have to keep their musical instruments safe, yet conveniently located.  Guitar stands can do this for almost any type of instrument, large or small.  Guitar stands are also good on the road or during concerts to make switching between instruments a snap.
